Bark scorpions have evolved high tolerance to most pyrethroid products. Effective treatment requires professional-grade extended-residual products, applied correctly and reapplied on a schedule — that's not something a one-time store-bought spray can replicate.

'Gone forever' isn't a realistic claim for anyone working in scorpion country, and we won't sell you one. What we can do is dramatically cut activity around your home — most clients go from regular sightings to none for months or years at a stretch. Results vary: some stop seeing them entirely, others get the occasional straggler.

Yes. We use EPA-approved products applied by trained pros. Once dry (1–2 hours), the treatment poses no risk to children or pets.

Scorpion sealing comes in different sizes and price points, but it usually means sealing as many access points as possible — gaps around exterior doors, garage door seals, caulking cracks and holes, sealing vents, ceiling penetrations in the attic, and so on. A thorough sealing job can reduce how many scorpions make it inside, but it doesn't stop them from living in your yard, where your kids and pets actually spend time. And it doesn't stop them from hitchhiking in on something you carry inside yourself — a cardboard box from Costco, a pool towel. We don't offer sealing because we don't think it delivers enough value for the cost. We've picked up a number of customers who hired us after paying thousands to another company to seal their home — and still had scorpions.

Slick barrier products work by coating the bottom 4–5 inches of your home's stem wall (the foundation) with a paint that dries slick, so scorpions can't climb up and over it. It works well right after application — but the moment dust settles on it, sprinklers leave mineral residue, or rain splashes mud up onto it, that slick surface stops being slick, and you're back where you started. Even the manufacturer only backs it with a one-year warranty, and a limited one at that — not something we're willing to stand behind. Our take: pick a pest company you trust that uses products that actually kill and control scorpions. If it fits your budget, there's nothing stopping you from doing both — just don't buy into the marketing hype.
